Labor Day at the Beach

As always, a few days at the beach did us good.  The kids would have stayed on the beach for days if we would have let them.  We went a few times a day to the beach, ate good food and enjoyed each other.

End of Summer Fun

Water play never gets old at our house.

We finally made it to Duck Donuts and the park with Mason and Katie.

Uptown adventures and lunch with Dad.

We had the drums out for a while and the kids enjoyed them.

These masks are so funny!

Slime was a hit of the summer.

The girls were waiting the mailman to bring their teacher assignments.

The 98% eclipse was pretty amazing.

Jensen got a new haircut with daddy.

Another rock was found and rehidden.

Chicago Date

Jeremy and I ran away for 48 hours to the windy city or the second city.  The second city after Paris for it's art. I loved learning that.  We loved walking around the city, eating at Potbelly, eating pizza, shopping, and enjoying the beautiful city.

On top of Sears Tower.

Millenium Park with the water pool and the bean.

Free zumba class in Grant Park.

Navy Pier

PIZZA!! The spinach, cheese bread was even better at Lou McNalti's.

I finally made it to a Title Nine store!

We saw a hilarious sketch show at The Second City theatre.

There was a nutella restaurant with a huge line out the door.

Route 66 starts here!

The Field Museum was lovely and Jeremy's was so excited about the Jurassic World exhibit.

I loved the totem poles.

Sue is the most complete t-rex found so far.

We enjoyed shopping a little. This 5 story Nike store was amazing.

The American Girl store was only two stories, but really cool.  We went in there out of parent guilt for leaving the kids.

We took the train back to the airport from the city for $6, we spent $60 on a taxi to the city.  We learned our lesson.

Until we meet again Chicago!
