First Week of Summer

We sent to Sweetwater Farms community day and enjoyed exploring their animals, outdoor areas, and beautiful scenery.

We went the Bradhams lake house on Monday after school was out and the big kids enjoyed the kayaks and swimming.

We came home to face painting and it was hilarious.

I can tell the kids were missing school because I found them reading.

The girls got to enjoy Broadcast camp at church. They had three days of fun with their friends.  They played games, did a service project, had small group time and then went to Dan Nicholas Park.

We went to a bakery one morning for a treat.

We saw Cars 3 with Wendy and her kids.

We've had the pleasure of swimming at the Koss' pool and at the Y a lot already.

The kids have been drawing and painting a lot.  I love it.

Last Day of School

The girls both had a great school year.  Their teachers were incredible and they had great friend that they really enjoyed in their classes.  Jovie loved Drew, Jackie, and Brooklynn. Haven loved getting to know Aubrey and Kylie. They had classes full of great kids.  We will never forget such a fun school year.

Jovie received the hug bug award for being such a loving friend.

Play dates and play days

Jensen loves playdates.  He had three last week. Sawyer, Abriel, and Zeke.

We met pop and grammy at cfa one day.

We met up with Abriel a second time at the splash pad.

Anna and Aubrey came over one day too.

Jovie decided to be Walter Walrus for Letterland Day.

We just had to celebrate donut day.

Jeremy and I took advantage of a kid free day and went bike riding on the rail trail uptown.

We had a great party day in Haven's class.

Jovie had a fun luau in her class.

Fun Day was a success.  We all went and enjoyed a beautiful day.

Dollywood or Bust

We finally made it to Dollywood and had a great time.  It was a fantastic time with just us 5.  We spent two days having a blast.  It's a beautiful park with lots of fun rides.  We bought season passes and hope to go back at least two more times this year.

Dippin Dots are always a favorite. We got to listen to lots of Bluegrass music too. It was their Bluegrass and Barbecue Festival.

They had an awesome fireworks show for Memorial Day.

Playing Spoons

Getting Chicken Blessings.

Jovie had to coach Jensen on throwing in his penny for a blessing.

The bird show was wonderful.  They have a beautiful eagle preserve on the hill.

Swimming at the hotel pool was a favorite.

We found a historic covered bridge on our way home. The Harrisburg Covered Bridge I believe.

We stopped in Asheville at the WNC Nature Center on our way home.  It is always fun.

We stopped in Black Mountain at Fresh Pizza for dinner. It was delicious again.  Wendy and I went there on our trip a few months back. The kids loved watching them toss the pizza.
