Wendy and I have enjoyed the show "The Chef's Life" on PBS. Wendy decided she wanted to go to the restaurant for her birthday. Bonnie went with us and we had a great weekend. We stopped at a few antique stores on the way.
We drove around Kinston and were pretty surprised that there is nothing there. Other than the one strip where "Chef and the Farmer" is located, there is nothing much else to see.
Our reservation wasn't until 9:30, so we rode around and relaxed until it was time to eat.
Chef Brian brought us out a few special dishes, since Mickey Chaney called the owner to let them know we were coming. Mickey, Wendy's neighbor, sells meat/seafood to the restaurant.
We stayed up late, slept in a little, ate breakfast, exercised, took showers and had a long drive home. It was a fun trip full of laughter and love.
