Greensboro Science Center

We enjoyed the Greensboro Science Center the other week with Wendy and her kids.  It was a beautiful facility with lots of animals and amazing exhibits.

A hunting cat

2 man submarine with 3 children

A new younger kid exhibit was open. This octopus had lots of drums.

An interactive ship

Beach themed play area with a ice cream/food truck.

There was a beautiful zoo area outside.

This musical, water fountain was awesome.

The day was complete with everyone petting a snake.

Catawba Science Center with friends

We went to CSC with our neighbors, the Taylors. There were a few, new exhibits so the kids were excited.  It is such a fun place to explore.

The dinosaurs were a little scary.

Back to the Farm

The girls started horse riding lessons 3 weeks ago and are loving it. They are riding Oreo, a super sweet horse that I worked with a lot at the farm. Haven is learning to ride without a leader and Jovie is still learning the basics.

Jensen gets to pet the animals, but really wants to ride.

We will see where they end up at the end of their lessons.  The farms is such a great, hot place to be.

Knights Tour

The kids and I got to go on an awesome tour of the Knights Stadium with a lot of friends.  It was great to see the stadium when there aren't thousands of people walking around.

Their indoor training area was pretty cool.

Jovie, in true form, liked their couch.

We also got to go in the home dugout.  Pretty cool.

These pictures were pretty funny. Jensen is smiling at me and Jovie is scowling.  Haven is a pro at pictures these days.

Jovie is now covering Jensen mouth, still scowling.

We toured the away locker room and learned about game days.  They make the players 3 meals on a game day with a total of $500 in fruit.  They also have laundry service for the away team.

After the tour, we had a picnic lunch and played in the fountains at Romare Bearden park.

Before we left, the Norketts stopped in the 7-11 with us for our first ever official slurpees.  Everyone had a great day.

We had a calm 4th of July.  We started our morning at the YMCA for a family workout in the big gym, since there was no childcare.

Then we hit up Wendy's to eat lunch and then went to see Inside Out.  It was our first movie for the whole family.  Everyone did great and the movie was awesome.

We enjoyed a few sparklers outside and inside the garage, since it was still pretty early.

The Taylors came over for ice cream in a bag and water play.  The little ones were pooped. So they slept through fireworks, but Haven got up for a little while to listen to them around the neighborhood.
