We left our cute cabin in Mt. Juliet and headed on a day of adventure.
This cabin used to be the owner's uncle's one room log cabin home. They moved it, added on a bathroom and kitchen, and put a really uncomfortable, tiny bed in it. haha
There was a pond out in the front yard.
Looking back at the cabin from the driveway.
The property is called Rockhaven.
We headed to Loveless Cafe for world famous biscuits! It was delicious.
We stopped in at Fork's Drum Store for Jeremy to look around.
Then we headed to the Gaylord Opryland Resort to see ICE! It was amazing to see "Twas the Night Before Christmas" in ice sculptures. It was 9 degrees in the area and I thought I was going to freeze to death. They give you huge parkas to wear but any skin unprotected is numb and painful.
This was the ice slide area. I slid down, but Jeremy was afraid to because of his back. It was cold!
The Last Scene was the Nativity in clear ice and an enormous angel.
They had a huge gingerbread house and store in this area of the resort too.
We walked around the hotel and found a Christmas Craft Show, that was pretty much a small version of the Christmas show that comes to Charlotte every year.
I loved this booth and took pictures for my sister because I knew she would like the lettering.
The Opryland Hotel is decorated beautifully and it is huge. You can even take a riverboat ride around inside it.
We drove on to the Franklin area that night and found our Hampton Inn. We also found every store known to man in this area. We even found a Chuy's. We have never eaten at one, but I have heard all of the Arkansas and Texas bloggers talk about it. It was delicious Tex Mex. Our favorite!
After dinner to celebrate our anniversary we found a cupcake store and got wedding cake cupcakes!
