Over the last few weeks, we have passed around the cough, cold, and upset tummy. Jovie and Jensen both had to do breathing treatments to clear out some wheezing and antibiotics for sinus infections. Jensen also ear infections again. He is already on his 3rd type of antibiotics and we are hoping when we go to the dr. this week that he is clear.
Some good news though, Jensen has slept for 10-11 hours the last 3 nights! This hasn't happened in months! He is also completely eating table food now and not nursing near as much. He is turning into our little boy for sure.
So, we have been in our new house for over 2 months. Here is what I have learned so far.
*We are an outdoors family! It doesn't matter the weather, we get outside if possible. Our 6 neighbor boys appreciate it too. They love being outside with us. We have 6 boys on our street: Kaden, Kendrick, Kyan, Sammy, James, and Aiden. They are normally outside if we are. We have another little boy, Mason, but he is two and isn't out much yet. We hope that all of the little girls will come out in the spring to play. We have seen a lot of girls, but haven't met many of them yet.
Playing with rain water is so much fun!

*Moving costs a lot, even when you think you are doing everything as cheap as possible. Little projects keep popping up and we are really trying to pinch our pennies.
*Kids can make it to our bed in the night so much faster when you live in a 1400 sq ft house. Almost every night we have had a visitor or 3.
*It doesn't take long to get a 1400 sq ft house completely filthy; however, you can say the same for the clean up time. I love having half a house less to clean up.
*I love sunshine, especially when it brightens the whole house beautifully.
*The amount of stuff we are still getting rid of is ridiculous, but wonderful!
Jensen is all boy! People told me having a boy would be different and I didn't really believe it. He chooses to stand in and on anything he can find. He throws a ball like a pro. He loves to read books and turn the pages, which my girls didn't do much. He throws things in the toilet and trash can. He can destroy the contents of a drawer or cabinet in seconds. He already loves to wrestle and play chase. He wants to be outside so bad and cries so hard if I bring him inside from the car without him getting to explore first. He pooped and peed on the floor the other day while I was in the middle of changing his very dirty diaper. He wants to play for a few hours in the middle of the night. Hopefully, after his molars come in and his cold gets better he will start resting better. He is getting himself to sleep at nap and bedtime much better. He is already talking a lot. He says bye bye, ball, mama, dada, all done, dog, more (mo), and something like "there it is" (that da). Jensen loves to snuggle and smile. He is keeping us busy!
Well, after thinking Jovie might be ready for the potty at a few different times over the past year, she is finally potty trained. We started getting serious about it on December 19th. She seemed oblivious to her potty needs. Over the next few weeks we would take her whenever we could remember to and/or if she asked to go. We also started letting her wear pullups and panties some. It took a few weeks, but last Friday, January 3rd she only had one accident. She had one accident a day for a few days and then for the last 4 days she has been accident free. She is even going to the potty completely on her own without prompting most of the time. She doesn't even need treats for reinforcements anymore. She has even been dry a few nights, but we are still putting her in pullups at night for now.
We are so proud of her. We knew she would do it well whenever she was 100% ready. There is no rushing this girl! Yay Jovie! Mom and Dad are so glad to only have to buy Jensen diapers for now on!
We started this blog when Haven Noel was born on December 9, 2008 at 32 weeks and 2 days. We have been so blessed to watch her grow and now she is a big sister to Jovie Patricia. She was born on February 24, 2011 at 35 weeks 2 days. Both girls were little peanuts, but absolutely perfect. Jensen Phillip was born on November 28, 2012 at full term and we thank God for that miracle. We love God, our family, traveling, sports, and laughing.
