On Wednesday, we went to the Mt. Holly Parade. This was Jovie's first parade and she enjoyed watching everything. Haven loved getting candy. We got a special drum section concert from my alma mater, the West Mecklenburg band. They stopped right at us and put on their show. It was really funny and loud! Jeremy thought the Shriner go-carts were funny; he had never seen them in a parade before. Haven was excited to see a little girl from church on one of the floats. It's always fun to see people you know in a parade.
On Saturday, we went to the Denver parade. I didn't take my camera, so no pictures. It was a great parade. The floats were cute. We saw 2 of neighbor kids in the parade and a few other people we know riding floats or walking. Jovie clapped and waved most of the time. The weather was perfect and we got lots of candy canes. I love this tradition and the 3rd year was a blast!
