Trips and Naps

This past weekend we took a spur of the moment trip up to Lynchburg to visit Lyndsey, Jeremy's sister. We rode with Jeremy's mom and dog and had a great time.

Haven doesn't always like to take naps in her crib anymore. Here she is on the couch sleeping with her friend.

Beach Pictures

We went to Oak Island for Labor Day with my family. Wendy, my sister, took these perfect shots of Haven. She was singing and twirling. We had a nice time playing on the beach with the cousins and spending time with Grammy and Pop.

Windy Hill Apple Orchard, York SC

Yesterday, Haven and I joined friends and family on our first trip to the Apple Orchard. We listened to the story of Johnny Appleseed, learned how to make cider, watched chickens, took a hay ride, made a scarecrow, sipped cider, ate apple chips, picked apples and had a picnic lunch. Haven seemed to enjoy herself. It was really hot, but a fun time.

Haven and Bethany loved the white pumpkins.

From 3 to 4

I love this picture of the three of us from our TOAL (Trip of A Lifetime) 2010 because I posed it knowing that it would capture our family like this for the last time. I don't think we will be doing any big traveling in the next year. The next time we take a TOAL there will be more than 3 of us we pray. Haven is going to be a big sister in March 2011.

We are very excited to be blessed with another precious baby. We have already began our chant of "Lord, we trust you" with this pregnancy. We are praying for a full term baby, but we trust that the lord has the end of this pregnancy already in the palm of his hand. So, here we go on the next adventure.

growing up- new bob and skinny jeans

Haven laid down to watch a show for the first time. She looked like such a big kid.

Haven let me put her hair up for like 2 seconds the other day, so I tried to get a few pictures. Here are the bloopers that show her busted lip and eye, from two separate falls. We also got over the dreaded hand, foot, mouth disease only to go back to the doctor yesterday with a sinus infection. So, we are praying for a healthy fall and winter.

So our little girl is definitely growing up. She got her pair of skinny jeans (leggings) from Jeremy's parents and they are so cute. We also decided it was time to shed some of her stringy hair. When the humidity is low it just kind of laid there, so I trimmed it up to match the sides and her new bob is c-u-t-e! I cut at least 2 inches off the back and then layered it up a little bit. She looks like an almost 2 year old for sure.
