Projects

I love looking at crafty blogs and checking out all of the cool tutorials. This week I did a few projects and they all turned out pretty well.

I made a tie onesie for our new cousin, Quinn.

I used one of Haven's onesies to explore the use of the amazing Clorox pen and freezer paper stenciling. The shark is Jeremy's logo for web design.

My biggest success was making a dress for Haven using a pattern. This was my first time sewing with a pattern and it was hard. The directions were not clear on a few parts of the dress, so I kind of made it up if I didn't understand what the pattern was telling me to do. Patterns are like a whole new language. I had no clue, so my mom gave me some pointers. I also used the freezer paper to cut out my pattern, so that I can use it in the future for bigger sizes.

  6. that dress is adorable... I am hoping to do some sewing this summer but was not looking forward to using a pattern. And a great idea about using freezer paper to cut out the pattern so it can be used later. Hadn't thought about that one!
