Girly girls

This summer we have been able to have playdates on Wednesdays with Bonnie, Stella, Wendy, and Bethany. It is fun to see these girls grow. Today, we realized that there will be a lot of teaching on sharing and being gentle in the near future. These girls are going to love each other to pieces.

SCREAM!!!

Haven didn't make many noises the first two months of her life. She just slept and ate as a little preemie. Uh, something changed. She has been making lots of noise ever since then. Gurgling, babbling, whining, squealing. The past few weeks it has changed to a full out scream. I mean a loud, ear piercing scream. Sometimes it just means she's playing, but most often she is bored or unhappy. It is funny, but loud and a little unnerving as well. If you hear a screaming baby in a restaurant it is probably us. It really doesn't even sound like a screaming baby more like a screaming little girl.

Look "hoo's" 7 months old!

Haven is such a funny and entertaining child. She is very clear about her feelings and shares her thoughts through her screams, eyebrow movements, or body movements. She is getting close to sitting by herself. She picked up a puff with her thumb and pointer finger today and put it in her mouth. She really didn't enjoy eating the puff. Haven enjoys playing in her crib now and we found her sleeping on her side the other morning. She looked like a big girl. She can roll around on the floor to get to her toys. We are so blessed to have such a sweet girl.

Our Favorite Things Part 1

Rainforest Bouncer- This has been a God-send since Day 1.

Long-sleeve, collarless, footed sleeper- We hate collars and these work for daytime and nighttime.

Rainforest Waterfall Soother- It seems to work even during the day for naptime.

Jazzy Toes Socks- Amber sent Haven these socks via Target and they are so adorable. They stay on her feet very well even though she loves to kick. The boots and birks are my favorite.

Washcloths- In the NICU the nurses always handed us a washcloth with her bottles, so we still use them when feeding her. We use them for baths too, but we just haven't used the bigger burp cloths.

Long sleeve onesies- For a winter baby, these are perfect by themselves or under other clothes. Luckily our neighbor gave us some soon after Haven was born and we went and bought more.

Happy Birthday America!

Saturday, we ate hamburgers at Jeremy's parents' house and enjoyed visiting with them. Haven goes to bed before dark most nights, so we listened to fireworks around the area and watched the Macy's fireworks on TV. Maybe next year Haven will enjoy the fireworks outdoors.

This video is sideways, but it shows a little bit of her babbling. She has been saying "babamama" and other various consonant/vowel sounds. It is really cute.

Play date!

I am so thankful for digital cameras because can you imagine how many rolls of film I would be using. Here are a few pictures from today. Haven wanted to feed herself this morning. Then we went over to Bonnie's to play with Stella and Bethany. They are such sweet girls.
