Haven has definitely had a growing spurt these last few weeks. Her personality has blossomed and she communicates with us so well. We know all her emotions now and that really helps us out. Here are few pictures of the last week. Also, to record history, Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Ed McMahon, and Billy Mays died this past week. Kind of weird.

Pretty girl with her new hair flower.

I made these taggie squares for the baby girls today.

Happy Father's Day!

Today was Jeremy's 1st Father's Day! I knew he would be a great dad, never doubted it one minute. However, over the past 6 months he has gone above and beyond my expectations and it has made our transition into parenthood wonderful. He is always good with children, but he is in love with our daughter and it is so sweet.

Here are a few Father's Day pictures.

Nice bedhead Jeremy!

New Haircut

So, I finally went to get a good haircut. I went Wednesday first and got a nice, safe hairstyle. It was too thick when I tried to style it myself on Thursday.

So Friday, I went back and got the haircut that I really wanted to try. Much better and different. I may let the top grow a little, but I love how short it feels!

Haven also got new sunglasses in the mail today. They are babybanz and I love the white. Jeremy picked them out!

Jeremy fed Haven her rice cereal this morning and let's just say it got a little messy. She is so cute even with goo all over her face.

No signs of a preemie here!

Haven had her 6 month appt yesterday. She got shots and had her heel pricked. The shots weren't so bad this time, since the nurse had some leg to pinch. She weighs 12 lbs. 14oz. and is 25 inches long. She is on the 6 month growth curve! She is also in the normal range for 6 month old development! Praise the Lord! She should have her two bottom teeth in the next few weeks. We have another brain ultrasound next week, just to check everything again and the blood test was to check for anemia.

Funny Girl

She enjoyed a tablespoon of rice cereal this morning and then decided she would eat the bowl as well.

Haven is so funny. She now likes to suck her toes. Ha! That may be gross, but she doesn't wear stinky shoes or walk on the dirty floor all day, so I let her do it.

Finally some videos

We gave Haven a little rice cereal the other day and this is how she handled it.

Haven has been screaming at us the past few days. We can't tell if she is just enjoying her voice or if she is upset. I think a little of both.

6 months old!

Today Haven is 6 months old! She is such a funny girl. At the moment, she is screaming and talking very loudly. She found her toes today and has been grabbing them. She is standing on our laps now. She is still sleeping great. She rolls around on the floor and plays with her toys. She also lunges and reaches for things she wants. She smiles and squeals, no giggle yet. She is very friendly and shares smiles with everyone.

She enjoyed sitting in her boppy today.

Here she is with brown hair.

I bet she will be sucking on those toes before too long.

Congrats Jim & Pam!

It's a little belated, but our good friends Jim and Pam (soon to be) Halpert are expecting a little baby! I don't think they were planning on it but they are super excited. When I texted Jim he was like, "Man, I don't know how this happened" and I was like, "Man, do I need to fill you in on a little bio lesson?" and he was like "Man, nah, I know how it happened but this is crazy" and I was like "Just call me cause these texting rates are not cool." Anyways, we know they'll be great parents, and I'm sure Michael Scarne will think he's part-father since Jim and Pam met at his office. Haven already told me she wanted them to name their baby "Haven" regardless if it's a boy or girl. Also, she wanted to give future Halpert baby a shout out (see below). We'll see you guys next weekend at Olive Garden. Those unlimited, butter-soaked breadsticks are already making my mouth water ... that's what she said ...

Owl Pillow

I sewed and stuffed this hand towel from Anthropologie to make a pillow for Haven's room. Thanks Grammy for buying it for us. I think I like the back of the pillow just as much as the front.

I felt bad that Haven had marks on her face from my shirt. Sad, but cute.
